Welcome to FAR (Fix Appliances Repair). By accessing our website or booking our repair services, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before scheduling a service visit.

1. Service Bookings & Diagnostics

  • Inspection Fee: A standard diagnostic fee of AED 150 is applicable for every home visit. This fee covers the technician’s travel and the professional assessment of the appliance.
  • Quote Validity: Repair quotes provided by our technicians are valid for 7 days from the date of the inspection.
  • Cancellations: We request at least 2 hours’ notice for cancellations. Failure to provide notice may result in a basic call-out charge.

2. Repairs & Spare Parts

  • Authorization: No repair work will begin without the customer’s verbal or written consent to the provided quote.
  • Genuine Parts: FAR committed to using 100% genuine spare parts. If a customer requests the use of “compatible” or “used” parts, FAR reserves the right to void the service warranty.
  • Part Availability: While we carry 90% of common parts in our mobile units, specialized components may need to be ordered. We are not liable for delays caused by supplier availability or shipping.

3. Payment Terms

  • Immediate Payment: Payment is due in full immediately upon completion of the repair or service.
  • Methods: We accept Cash and Online Bank Transfers. For commercial contracts, specific credit terms may be negotiated in advance.
  • Unpaid Invoices: FAR reserves the right to withhold any replaced parts or documentation until full payment is cleared.

4. Customer Responsibilities

  • Access: The customer must ensure the technician has safe and clear access to the appliance at the scheduled time.
  • Environment: For safety reasons, our technicians reserve the right to refuse service if the working environment is deemed hazardous (e.g., severe gas leaks without ventilation, unstable electrical wiring, or aggressive pets).
  • Adult Presence: An adult (18+) must be present during the entire service duration to authorize repairs and sign the service report.

5. Limitation of Liability

  • Pre-existing Damage: FAR is not responsible for pre-existing damage, cosmetic wear and tear, or systemic failures (such as rusted internal frames) discovered during the repair process.
  • Data Loss: For “Smart” appliances, FAR is not liable for any loss of saved data, settings, or software configurations during a hardware repair or reset.
  • Indirect Loss: FAR shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss, such as food spoilage (in fridge repairs) or laundry backlogs, resulting from an appliance failure or repair delay.

6. Warranty Claims

  • All warranty claims must be supported by a valid FAR Service Invoice.
  • The warranty is strictly limited to the specific component repaired or replaced. It does not cover the entire appliance.
  • Any tampering by third-party technicians or unauthorized DIY attempts after our service will immediately void all FAR warranties.

7. Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Arab Emirates and the specific regulations set by the Dubai Economy & Tourism (DET).
